Hackers

In the context of hackathons, a hacker refers to someone who is passionate and skilled in applying their knowledge to create innovative solutions. It emphasizes the creative problem-solving aspect, not the malicious kind of hacking you might hear about in the news.

Mentors

Hackathon mentors act as experienced guides and supporters for participating teams. They play a crucial role in helping teams turn their ideas into reality within the tight timeframe of the event

Judges

Judges in a hackathon act as the impartial evaluators, ultimately deciding which teams emerge victorious. Their role goes beyond simply picking winners, however.

Google Sheet

A free online spreadsheet tool included in the Google Docs suite. It allows you to organize data in rows and columns, perform calculations, and collaborate with others in real-time. Think of it as a digital version of a paper spreadsheet.

AppSheet

A platform for turning spreadsheets into mobile apps. You connect your Google Sheet data to AppSheet, and it automatically builds a user-friendly app for entering, viewing, and managing that data. Imagine transforming your spreadsheet into a sleek app for your phone or tablet.

Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio)

A free data visualisation tool from Google. You connect data from various sources, including Google Sheets and AppSheet, and use Looker Studio to create interactive dashboards and reports. Think of it as a tool to turn your data into clear and insightful visuals.
